The Smallwood Companies of real estate holdings launched an overnight effort to house a few State Farm Insurance adjusters who ascended on the community to help families and businesses sort through their damaged properties and file claims. A few quickly turned into many, and before we could catch our breath we were in the corporate housing business, getting adjusters and displaced families into temporary housing. That relationship with State Farm has continued over the years and that portion of our business is one of the most fulfilling… helping others in times of need.
